Nursery Furniture is Here!!!

Getting Closer!!  Today marks week 36!  We are down to less than a month until Baby Warren arrives!!  Woo-hoo!!  It's feeling much more real now, especially since our nursery furniture arrived on Friday.  TJ helped get everything arranged on Friday and then this evening we did some cleaning up and hanging of items on the wall.  Here are a few pictures of our new furniture.  The room isn't quite done yet.  We still have valances, a crib skirt, and a few other fabric items to get into the room, but this will give you a good idea of our theme. 

This is TJ's wall art that he drew and painted.  I posted some pictures a while back of him working on it.  They turned out AWESOME!

Dresser that can flip either direction.  But, when it sits this way it is a changing table.  We still haven't finalized what's going in/on the cubes on the wall.

 We LOVE our crib.  As you can see, the top pieces folds down, which is great because I wouldn't be able to reach without a foot stool otherwise. :-)  You can see some more of our decorations on the wall. 

Washed two loads of baby items tonight.  I don't think I have ever been so excited to do laundry before.  Some of it still needs folder, but as you can see, she has tons of clothes. :-)  

 

Speaking of clothes, this is the outfit Baby Warren will go home from the hospital in.  TJ picked it out when he went shopping with his mom and his sister--just a day or two after we found out Baby Warren is a girl. 

Besides the nursery, we put a few other baby items together this evening to get prepared for her arrival. I put together a Rock n' Play sleeper while TJ assembled the high chair (which says it can be used for newborn and infant, too). Also on the agenda for the week is installing the two car seat bases in both cars. 

Last post I mentioned that we took maternity pictures.  We heard back from our photographer that they are now available for viewing.  We absolutely love them!!  If you would like to view them, just send me an email and I will provide you with the log-in information.

This past holiday weekend we spent Saturday and Sunday visiting TJ's parents in Pella.  As always, we had a great time. It's always nice to go visit, to relax, and enjoy some time on the water when it's nice out.  We spent most of the day out on the lake on Saturday.  I unfortunately didn't get to tube (already looking forward to next summer!), but it was fun to watch other family members go tubing.  The weather was beautiful and we had a nice time catching up with everyone.  Oreo had a blast!  He was spoiled by everyone's attention and Grandma had extra special treats just for him.  He loved having a big yard to run around in and more dogs to play with.


That's the update for now.  I have my next doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I may do a brief post on that.  Otherwise, I will for sure post again this weekend after my shower on Saturday. :-)
