24 Week Update

Today we had our 24 week appointment.  Overall, the appointment went very well.  We did get another ultrasound because the doctors wanted to monitor something, but after viewing the ultrasound today, all appears well and there is no longer the concern that was there four weeks ago.  This is very good news, but it also means that there probably will not be any more ultrasounds.  Baby's heart rate was at 158 bpm and measured in the 49th percentile for size.  She is presently weighing 1 lb 7 oz and is right on with the target due date of October 1.  I also did ask the tech to confirm again that we are expecting a little girl, especially as we keep accumulating more baby items.  I think our daughter is well on her way to having more clothes than either one of us.  Ok, this may be a little bit of a stretch, but she definitely has quite the wardrobe going!

We do have fabric picked out for the nursery.  We have a close family friend who is going to be making the bedding, and we will be anxious to see the finished product in a few months.  We picked out whites, greens, and pinks for the nursery with the main pattern being butterflies.  TJ decided that he would like to create some artwork for the nursery, so he has been working on some sketches for that. 

Still feeling good--no sickness or exhaustion really.  I am wondering if I am starting to get Braxton Hicks a bit.  I was reading some place that they can start this early.  I don't really feel anything painful, but I know there have been a few mornings within the past two weeks that my stomach feels a little harder when I first wake up.  Baby is still moving like crazy.  She definitely has a routine.  She moves quite a bit on my drive to work, then again mid-afternoon, about 10 minutes after I eat supper, and then around 8:30-9ish until I go to bed. 

So sorry it's been 4 weeks since our last post.  I have had several people asking when I would post again.  Time has just gotten away from me.  I will try to not let 4 more weeks go by without posting again.  Will keep everyone posted!
